Office 2007 Test Drive

From the great response to our newest Word and Excel 2007 topics, it looks like many of our users already have access to Office 2007. However, if you have not had a chance to try Office 2007, we have several resources to help you learn more-and help you decide if Office 2007 is for you:

Explore our New Computer Basics Tutorial

Our Computer Basics tutorial has always been a learner favorite, and now that we have revised it, it is even better. Where else can you find answers to your basic computer questions such as “What are all the buttons, sockets, and slots used for?” and “How do I connect to the Internet?” Using a text and video format, our new Computer Basics tutorial addresses these questions and more.

Additionally, we will continue to add new lessons, making our Computer Basics tutorial a “go-to” resource for your relevant, introductory computer issues.  Take some time to explore the new Computer Basics and see what you think .

Excel 2007 Lessons Available

Want to learn how to create a simple spreadsheet? Apply conditional formatting to an existing one? Or insert a PivotTable? All 18 lessons of our Excel 2007 tutorial are now available online and show you how to do all this and more.

Excel 2007 is our second topic in the Office 2007 series. If you are new to Excel, our video and text lessons and sample documents will help you learn the basics of working with a spreadsheet. If you’ve used previous versions of Excel, our lessons can help you become acclimated to the new software, which varies considerably from previous versions. Take some time and explore the new Excel 2007 tutorial.

If you would prefer to learn with the help of an online instructor, Excel 2007 will be offered as a 3-week class soon. Until then, you may want to check our online class schedule for other topics such as Word 2007, Math Basics, and the Microsoft Office 2003 suite.

Want to Learn Excel 2007?

Are you interested in learning Excel 2007? Do you have Excel 2007 on your computer? If so, we need your help! We are looking for volunteers to take part in our 3-week, instructor-supported, Excel 2007 Test Class.

Before we launch a new class we like to offer a “test” class to ensure all the lessons and videos work properly and the assignments are effective. Also, the test class provides us with valuable information that helps us determine the number of continuing education units that will be offered for the class.

The test class begins Wednesday, April 16th. If you would like to help us continue to create quality classes by volunteering to be a participant in our Excel 2007 class, just email us at info@gcflearnfree.org. Spaces are limited!

Note: You can not earn CEUs  during a test class.
