GCFLearnFree.org is seeking an Instructional Designer

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in instructional design with a emphasis on adult education and new media content to join the team. Working out of our downtown Raleigh office, the Instructional Designer will join a small but highly creative team dedicated to developing quality innovative online content. The Instructional Designer will be involved in all aspects of curriculum development from research and planning to writing and editing.

Requirements:

Four-year college degree in a related field and at least two years of related experience. Teaching and instructional design/curriculum development experience a must, experience with adult education a plus. Excellent writing and editing skills essential. Experience developing new media content highly desired.

When learning to use PowerPoint, many users wonder, “What makes a slide look good or bad?” If you do a quick Internet search on “PowerPoint slide design tips” you’ll come across numerous resources that tell you what makes a slide look “good” or “bad” or what is “right” or “wrong.” Most of these tips are valid and are simply based on the principles of good design that apply to multiple types of publications; however, what I urge you to think about is the context of your presentation.
